About

A people must from time to time, refresh themselves at the wellspring of their origin, lest they perish.

This blog is the result of feeling exhausted from partisan and issue-bickering.  A wise man once said that he taught his followers correct principles, and they governed themselves.  It is the knowledge and wisdom of correct principles that we need desperately.  The principles are the foundation which the issues ought to be built on.  Our foundation was set by our Founding Fathers whose dreams were to be free from tyranny and government-run living.  The cornerstone was laid with the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution.

Once we understand the building blocks of our foundation, we need not be tossed around by issues.  The right side of an issue can always be determined by our foundation.  We need look no further than our Standard, the Constitution of the United States.  What does it say?  Is our allegiance to a Party or Issue supported by our Standard, our Rule of Law?  Are we allowing ourselves to be tossed to-and-fro by every good argument in the news or our politically active friends?  We need not take part in such irrational allegiance, flippancy or indecisiveness!  We've got a standard, a coach, an archetype for the basis of all our judgments.  Without it, we are subject to every whim of good-sounding arguments.

It is our great, inspired Constitution that makes us America... the land of the free, home of the brave, land of opportunity.
  • We are about 5% of the world population but have created more new wealth than all of the rest of the world combined.
  • We've never suffered a famine.
  • We are responsible for more innovation in medicine, housing, education, power/energy, transportation, space, aircraft, and agriculture than any other country.
  • We are responsible for more discoveries in science than any other nation.
  • We are always the first to provide relief and aid to other nations - even our enemies.
  • We have given more dollars in aid relief than most of the world nations combined.
  • Our young men and women have fought in wars throughout time in defense of freedom, sacrificing their lives in return.
  • Despite all of our accomplishments and good-will, we are constant targets of hate and envy from the rest of the world.
The question begs... how did we get so accomplished?  This is no rhetorical question.  We must answer this question lest we forget and perish.

Patrick Henry said, "I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided; and that is the lamp of experience.  I know of no way of judging the future but by the past."  Perhaps our Founding Fathers knew a little something about tyranny when they so passionately and desperately fought for their independence and created a life of liberty for themselves and for their posterity.  It would serve us well to go back in time and remember what drove them.

It is not by mistake or random chance that America is so accomplished.  It is the exact result of the original intent of the Founding Fathers.  So let's dive in and discover the freedom principles they scribed so we may hold fast and keep our gift of freedom before we lose it and it's too late.

" If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, it expects what never was and never will be." -Thomas Jefferson
